How do I get my stuff to you?
We strongly suggest that you ship your pictures, disks and music cds to us in water tight Ziploc bags, put in protective packaging, and shipped with a service that can track your package. Email us once your items are shipped with the tracking number so we can get you on a schedule!
What happens then?
We will send you an email confirmation once we receive your package along with a tentative completion date. Plan on it taking approximately 2-3 weeks.
Will you take good care of my photos?
Of course! We treat your pictures as if they were ours! After they are scanned, we place them in a safe until we return them back to you!
What kind of photos do I provide?
Prints up to an 11 X 14 so that includes 8x10, 3x5, 4x6, 5x7 and wallet sized school pics. If we can fit it on our scanner, we can include it in your movie. We can even include video clips!
Can I scan the pictures myself & send them to you?
Absolutely. You can scan and burn to a CD and mail to us. Please keep in mind that the higher the resolution, the better your photos will look on the screen. Up to 300 pixels is great! Anything less than 100 pixels will look grainy. Remember to save the images in a .jpg format and give them a name and/or number.
Does it matter if my pictures are horizontal or vertical?
Either one will be fine! Horizontal pics will look best on a tv screen. Vertical pictures will have a border around them....but they still look great!
Can I send photos that are still in frames or scrapbooks?
Please don't!
Will you crop my photos?
We will digitally crop your photos if it makes for a better viewing experience in the movie.
How should I choose the order for my pictures?
We will place your photos in the exact order you send them to us. Most movies are done in either chronological order or by theme (vacations, holidays, parties, etc.).
What if I don't organize my pictures?
We are happy to do it for you for an additional fee!
Do I get my photos back?
Yes!
How long will the DVD be?
That depends on you! You can have as many or as few photos as you like. We’ve found that the average video montage is between 10-15 minutes. This usually works out to about 5 songs and 150-200 pictures. We can totally do a shorter one for you. We love the little ones too!
What do I get when I purchase a DVD presentation with K's P's?
A rockin' movie is what you get! Your show will be a professional one using your photos, music, transitions and titles on a DVD with a photo label in a slim DVD case. You may also receive a CD with the scanned (and the repaired) images in jpg format for easy sharing. You can email, print or use them in other projects.
What's a transition?
Transitions are the ‘fades’ between photos seamlessly weaving your movie together. They can be very simple or crazy - it's up to you!
What about my favorite songs?
We can't imagine your movie without your favorite tunes! You can provide your CD’s for us or we can purchase the music for you from a music download site.
What kind of equipment do I need to show my DVD?
Your DVD will play on most players. It may not play on very old DVD players, but anything sold in the last five years should be fine. We record our movies on DVD+R disks and use the highest quality media. If you will be showing your movie at an event and/or on rented equipment, make sure to check with the catering department about the type of machine they are providing. Your DVD can also be shown on a computer equipped with a player; standard on many computers now.
How do I know what type of DVD my player accepts?
Get the brand and serial number from the back of your machine, then go to www.videohelp.com. Look for the "Search Player" field and enter your information. You will then be able to see the media types that are compatible with your machine (DVD+R, DVD-R, etc.). If DVD+R disks do not work on your equipment, please indicate that in your original order. We can do it - no problem! - we just need to know!
How far in advance do I need to get the photos and music to you?
Two or three weeks is plenty of time. During the holidays we may need a bit more time. Please give us a call and we can talk about your time frame!
What about payment?
We ask for 50% when you place your order, and the balance before your movie is shipped. The first half is non-refundable.
I don't live in AZ...is that okay?
Absolutely! We love long distance clients.
How will you get my movie and pictures returned to me?
We will professionally package your goods and get them to you. The following shipping rates will apply: $15 Priority, $25 Express, $35 FedEx.
